Since 1990, Firearm Safety Australia has offered a variety of Training Programs to meet the needs of a growing Security Industry and the larger community offering courses in Recreational Firearms (Longarms), Firearms Instructor programs and many other programs delivered to Instructor Level. Firearm Safety Australia, its management and staff, are committed to providing and maintaining the most effective Firearms and Security training programs available to the Security Industry and the Recreational Shooter.

Firearm Safety Australia is also committed to the presentation of quality programs and to this end, Firearm Safety Australia believes that quality can only be achieved by the active involvement of all personnel required to prepare, market and present the programs.

Mission Objectives

To achieve the mission aims of Firearm Safety Australia will continue to:-

• Develop competency based training programs to instructor level
• Develop safety biased instructional programs to meet the standards set by society and to meet the needs of the Security Industry
• Develop and produce training manuals to enhance the instructional programs
• Provide competent instructors to present training programs as required
• Provide on-going skill enhancement training for its instructors and staff
• Investigate all available avenues that can provide further knowledge into the safe use of security equipment, including firearms, and the safe use of recreational firearms for the total community.

Firearm Safety Australia's proven record is evident in thier conducting of Instructor Level programs in Victoria, new South Wales, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory since 1991.

Firearm Safety Australia is a training organisation dedicated to training to an instructor level and the training is Security Industry Specific.

Firearm Safety Australia has recently been granted recognition as an Authorised P.P.C.T. Training Centre. With this recognition, we are now able to offer all of the P.P.C.T. Training Programs. Offering Law Enforcement Instructor professional development programs, these programs are conducted annually by training staff from P.P.C.T. Management Systems Inc.

Firearm Safety Australia is also the registered office for TALON Training & Development Inc.. Trading as TALON International Training & Development, we can also offer all of the programs developed by Mr. Bill Burroughs, a leader in the field of officer survival training.

Mr Bill Burroughs is now the Director of Education for the Law Enforcement Television Network and a driving force behind the Calibre Press "Street Survival Seminars"
